About Us

The Relationship First

As advisors to many families, The Genesis Group has a unique role in their lives. While many advisors are viewed only as impartial professionals, we are first friends. Secondly, we are a vital part of a family’s insurance plan. We respect and deeply care for those we work for and know that it is our responsibility to help “insure” that each family has planned for the financial stages of life. We know that we have the responsibility of helping implement and manage those plans. It’s the ongoing relationship that builds trust and helps “insure” a family’s financial success.

The Stages of Your Financial Life

From work to retirement, The Genesis Group team is entrusted to guide successful executives and business owners into retirement by creating income strategies and managing retirement assets for a lengthy post-work life well before the retirement phase begins.

From living to passing, The Genesis Group team can provide peace of mind by making sure a family has planned for the passing of a spouse and by continuing to help the surviving spouse and family.

From retirement to the end of life, we understand the many issues during this stage of life. Health care needs can have a devastating and lasting impact on the family nest egg, leaving one spouse in dire need. This situation must be planned for.

From elderly parents to children, The Genesis Group’s insight helps families understand the immense responsibility of maximizing an inheritance and helps heirs navigate the complexity of transferring and managing their own assets.

Hunter Berry

Financial Advisor

Hunter was born in California and grew up between Ohio and Kentucky, experiences that shaped both his adaptability and his perspective on financial stability. His interest in finance was sparked early, watching the effects of the 2008 financial crisis firsthand as families, including his own, were forced to start over and live paycheck to paycheck. That experience became the foundation for his career path.

Hunter attended high school in Kentucky before earning a degree in finance from the University of Kentucky. After college, he joined Jackson National, one of the largest annuity carriers in the industry, where he developed a strong understanding of retirement strategies while working closely with financial advisors across the D.C., Tennessee, and Alabama regions.

Today, Hunter is a financial advisor with The Genesis Group, where he focuses on helping families sustainably grow their wealth and build clear, confident strategies for retirement. Hunter brings a modern perspective and disciplined planning to his work with a genuine commitment to earning his clients’ trust.
